Coffeenatics for Indonesia Pavilion at the World Economic Forum 2026

The World Economic Forum (WEF) is an international organization that convenes leaders from around the world to address today’s most pressing economic, social, and political challenges. This year’s forum, with the theme of “A Spirit of Dialogue,” emphasizes the exchange of ideas, diverse perspectives, and collaborative solutions for the future
This event took place in Davos, Switzerland, from 19–23 January, five unforgettable days, from a small cafe in Medan in 2015 to serving on a global stage, connecting with delegates and leaders over coffee. During the World Economic Forum 2026, we brought more than coffee to the table. We brought Apes for Apes, served as Kopi Tubruk
Apes for Apes is a project that brings together coffee and the conservation of the Tapanuli orangutan, one of the world’s rarest and most endangered great ape species, with fewer than 800 individuals remaining in Indonesia. Through this coffee, Apes for Apes supports conservation efforts and community development led by our partners, the People Resources and Conservation Foundation and the Sumatra Rainforest Institute. The project promotes coexistence between farmers and orangutans in the Batang Toru Ecosystem through sustainable land-use practices and protected forest
Through Apes for Apes served as Kopi Tubruk, we share a traditional Indonesian brewing practice that reflects respect for origin, simplicity, and community. This presentation reflects our belief that progress should move hand in hand with cultural preservation and environmental responsibility
Coffeenatics attended the World Economic Forum 2026 through an invitation from GrabFood & Ministry of Investment and Downstreaming / Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM), following its recognition as a Bintang Lima merchant from GrabFood for consistent excellence in quality, service, and customer experience. This recognition reflects a decade-long commitment to elevating Indonesian specialty coffee while setting standards within the digital food and beverage ecosystem
Our time serving at the Indonesia Pavilion during the World Economic Forum 2026 has been unforgettable, such a great pride for us to fill every discussion with coffee we brought from Sumatra, Apes for Apes
Thank you to the World Economic Forum and the Indonesia Pavilion for letting us contribute to a platform where ideas are exchanged, collaborations begin, and Indonesian coffee finds its place on the global stage
Thank you to GrabFood & Ministry of Investment and Downstreaming / Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) for the trust, meaningful conversations, shared moments, and opportunities over coffee
